Church clarifies BYU Honor Code
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is attempting to clarify changes to the Honor Code at Brigham Young University.
Last month, the church-owned school removed a section on "homosexual behavior" from the Honor Code.
In a letter, Church Educational System Commissioner Elder Paul V. Johnson says the removal does not mean "moral standards of the church" changed, stating that "same-sex romantic behavior" is still not compatible with the principles of the Honor Code.
Students upset by the move are organizing protests on-campus this afternoon.
