Containment Grows on the Halfway Hill Fire

(Filmore, UT) -- Fire crews continue to make good progress on the Halfway Hill fire burning near Filmore in Millard County. The Great Basin Fire Incident Management Team 4 reports the blaze has burned 11,773 acres and is 39-percent contained. Firefighters are looking set more backburns in some of the affected areas Monday, with incident managers expecting to ignite more of them in the area of Chalk Creek Canyon, concentrating on a area of unburned grass and shrubs near the fireline.
