Person who disrupted Conference sentenced

A person who disrupted General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ back in 2018 has been fined.  The judge overseeing the trial of Crystal Legionaires expressed some sympathy but still convicted the 25-year-old Monday on a charge of disrupting a meeting. Legionaires was ordered to pay a 340-dollar fine by the judge.

Woman dies in SR 18 crash near Dammeron Valley

A woman has died following a head-on crash on SR 18 about 2 miles south of Dammeron Valley. The crash occurred yesterday afternoon. Utah Highway Patrol says the woman was heading northbound near mile marker 15 yesterday afternoon, when she drifted over the centerline and was struck head-on by a semi-truck.

A new bill being drafted on Capitol Hill may force teens identifying as transgender to wait until the age of 18 to pursue hormone therapy and gender reassignment surgery. Critics of the bill worry it could cause more harm than good.

Deer named "Coal" dies

A taxidermy company in Grand Junction is helping the Moab community remember a rare deer locals named “Coal.” “Coal” was named for his black hair. Wildlife officials say his condition, called melanistic, is caused by an over-production of melanin. “This is much rarer than the albino (all white hair).
