The price tag for the new and improved Salt Lake City International Airport has jumped another half-billion dollars.

The Airport Advisory Board says the total cost now stands at just over four-billion dollars as it updated the master plan for the renovation.

The changes include bigger areas for customs to handle international flights, more advanced equipment for security screenings and a larger Sky Club lounge for Delta Air Lines customers.

Increased costs will be covered by user fees that come through airline passengers.
