Senator Romney presses to change rules for impeachment

Senator Mitt Romney was among several senators who pressed to change the rules for the impeachment of President Trump.

The changes were a surprise development in the first day of the trial yesterday.

The original rules by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell would have kept the trial to two 12-hour days and would have delayed voting on allowing witnesses.

Romney says he opposes voting on witnesses prior to opening arguments.
