St. George City has a new council member

St. George City Council is complete once again as they elected a new member to fill in the seat left by Mayor Michele Randall. After sifting through 28 candidates, City Council voted to elect a deputy Washington County attorney, M. Rick Erickson, as their new council member.  Erickson will fill the seat until the end of what was previously Randall's term, which ends in January 2022 and he may choose to run for another term when the next council election begins this fall. The newly elected member has been practicing law since 2003 and was an adjunct instructor at Dixie State University for a decade.
