Soldiers with the Utah National Guard are on their way to California to help battle the massive wildfires burning in the state. 

Sergeant Zach Kesler says Utah's citizen-soldiers are ready for the risks they will face when they use their Black Hawk helicopters to drop water on the fires.

The Guard's 97th Aviation Troop Command has deployed two helicopters and nine soldiers to the Sacramento area.  They will spend about two weeks making repeated trips to water sources for bucket drops on the wildfire
