ST. GEORGE – KDXU program director Andy Griffin and Cherry Creek Media operations manager Dale Desmond announced this week that BYU sports has signed with 94.9/890 KDXU and will be carried exclusively on that station in southern Utah.

"When I first moved to southern Utah, BYU was on KDXU and it felt right – the No. 1 radio station in the area and the No. 1 team in the state, just like KSL and BYU up north," Griffin said. "One of my first items of business when I was hired as program director was to reestablish that relationship. BYU belongs on KDXU."

Griffin and Desmond, along with Cherry Creek regional manager James English, inked the deal with BYU Radio late last week. The deal includes all BYU football and basketball games as well as one-hour pregame shows and one-hour postgame shows for the live events. Also included in the deal are two weekend shows. BYU Radio's The Lisa Show and The Apple Seed.

The Lisa Show, which will air Saturday's at 2 p.m. features Lisa Valentine Clark in a two-hour lifestyles show "Bringing you fun and useful conversations that will help you improve yourself, your family, and your community."

The Apple Seed, airing Sunday mornings at 6 a.m. on KDXU, features storytelling at its best with host Sam Payne.
