Summary: The Cooper Knoll Fire was reported at 5:34 p.m. June 13, 2020 burning in Timber litter and grass. There are no anticipated control problems as the fire is moving towards an area previously treated with prescribed fire. There are no structures currently threatened.

The fire is being suppressed utilizing a full suppression strategy using tactics that minimize impacts to important values at risk. Firefighter and public safety remain the highest priority. 

Additional resources are being ordered to support the suppression effort.

Predicted Smoke Impacts: Smoke is trailing off to the Northeast and may be visible from Panguitch.

Closures:  Current Closures: There are currently no closures but as fire suppression efforts continue temporary road detours and closures are possible in the immediate fire area in order to provide for public and firefighter safety.

Restrictions: Currently there are no fire restrictions in place.
